Welcome

If you’re like me, you probably wish therapy was less concerned with symptoms and diagnoses and more focused on expanding your creativity and growing as a person.

If this is the case, I would be honored to work with you. I take a very open, down-to-earth approach to the healing process, and I pride myself in being fun, warm, and relaxed. For me, counseling isn’t just about you sitting in a chair and talking about your mom (although you are welcome to talk about her if you wish). It’s about a relationship. It’s about having someone to grow alongside with and lean on in times of need.

People say I laugh a lot, and they’re right. In our sessions, I’m sure there will be lots of laughter——I have a very loud, infectious laugh. At the same time, however, psychotherapy with me is a time where you can talk openly and candidly about your struggles. After all, part of what I love about counseling is that it covers the full spectrum of moods and emotions. Sessions can be sad, funny, moving, and heartwarming, and all with the same person.

Before becoming a therapist, I studied in the arts and received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rutgers University. I have always liked climbing inside someone else’s skin and seeing the world from their vantage point. But I discovered that doing therapy offers an additional level of complexity, because people’s minds are infinite in possibilities. And since each new client brings a different story to the table, the inspiration and vitality never run dry. The process renews and refreshes itself infinitely.

I have been a therapist in the Los Angeles area for my entire career, so I am familiar with all the ins and outs of this locale. I provide counseling for anxiety, relationship issues, and any other struggles you may be dealing with. Additionally, I help guide and train other therapists on their journey. If you’re a psychotherapist in the Los Angeles area who has hit a creative stalemate in your practice, I can offer therapist supervision and consultation to help you revitalize your approach.
